“The world is changing”
Simina Missimo is a meditation teacher! She studied Meditation in Romania amongst other spiritual classes! Today she is giving and interview to “Skala Times” and from the next edition she will have her own articles in this Column “New Age Stuff”. As she always says “my mission is to help people” and she hopes that through this column she will be able to enlighten people’s lives.
Simina, how long have you been doing meditation?
I was like this since I was born! My parents are Christians (like I am) but they were not able to answer all my questions. Mediation was not what I wanted and meditation is not the only thing I am doing. I started searching to see what this world was all about, which is more than meets the eye. I started reading after 20 and that was because I had the idea that there was more in this world than what we see. The information from the church could not answer all of my questions. So after 20 I also went to this spiritual School (in Romania) that gave me all the answers that I was looking for. I did not go there to learn meditation. I went there to answer some of my questions “why we are here”, “why we came”, “which is our mission”. This school helps you to find out answers about yourself!
We don’t have schools like this in Cyprus.
Yes I know.
What subjects were you studying there?
Ourselves, love, vanity, helping others, faith. How I can develop my faith, my love. It’s like a pianist, you have a talent but you must practice to develope it. Even love and faith must be practiced to be developed.
What are the benefits that someone can take from meditation?
Our soul knows everything, it’s very wise and has lived many lives, so when our mind is in peace we have the perfect connection with our soul. Through meditation we can help our mind to be in peace, we can be connected with our soul and at the same time we can practice love and faith. The benefits are a lot. When we are in this Christian connection with God, we give power to our soul to be opened and to receive light. In this mode we can be clear, we can cure and answer our own problems. Meditation brings peace within us. We are then able to forgive, to move on, to be full of love, to have understanding on a higher level. When we are in this phase of meditation the people around us are also affected in a positive way and not just our loved ones which near us bet even those who are far away in another country.
Can the mind affect the direction of the soul?
Yes! A mind that is confused or full of wrong information or influenced from other people around it, can affect the direction of soul. God’s truth is not in our minds but in our soul.
So would you suggest people to listen to their inner voice more?
Of course, yes!
Do you teach meditation?
Yes. Through meditation people learn things. We usually speak before meditation. I answer their questions.
Do you believe that anybody can do meditation? What about if someone is not spiritual, or atheist. Can someone that is not spiritual, do meditation?If someone comes for meditation but says “I don’t believe in nothing” then I don’t see this as accidental. If someone comes to do meditation then somebody sent this person, maybe their inner voice, or maybe their angels. Sometimes the mind holds us back with too many thoughts like “what is this?”, ” Stupid things for women” but their inner voice can hear the truth. Actually in my country (Romania) in the School that I was educated for this things (meditation, spiritual sessions) most of the people were men.
In the last 1-2 years we have seen and increase in people getting more involved in spiritual meditation. Also here in Cyprus the last 1-2 years we have seen an increase. Why do you think people are turning more spiritual in the last few years?
Because the energy around the earth is changing. The heart of earth is changing, earth was sleeping but the last 20 years it has awoken. That has made human beings wake up tool. Also, we going to feel that the 24 hours a one day is less than 24 hours. We are going get this feeling a lot as we get closer to December 2012. On 21st of December 2012 an era will change. Now we are moving into that change.
The Mayias (Indians) said that in 2012 we are going to come to the end of a circle. Many people misunderstood that and they took it as “the end of the world”. What is your opinion about 2012?
It is the end of the time as we know it till now! After 21 of December 2012 we are going to start to realise things in a different way. We are going be surprised about how we were thinking before.
Ok, so during those ten months until December 2012 what should we do to prepare for the changes?
To be focused on what it means LOVE! To check inside us what remains unforgiven. What remains as hate. What remains as unger . Everything that is negative must be cleared. Doesn’t matter what someone did to us, we must forgive, understand that everything happened for a reason to teach us a lesson and to move on. We must not hold grudges “he did this to me, he did that, etc”. We must let go and be clear inside and full of love. This is how we prepare for the changes and for the new era.
Sometimes we break up with a guy and we think “my soul can not let go of this love” but how do we actually know if its our wise soul or a stupidility of our mind?
The soul has understanding, forgiveness, compassion, love. If you feel vanity, unger, and everything starts from “I” then it’s your ego and your mind that are speaking and not your soul. “what am I going do now?” “What about ME now?” . “I need him”.
We Cypriots, we are Christian Orthodox. Do you believe in Jesus?
Of course! I’m Christian Orthodox too!
What is your advice for people that want to get onto a higher spiritual level?
To read a lot. There are beautiful books (Louise Hay and so many other writers) also to search on the internet. To be ready to be full of love and forgiveness. To understand that the soul and mind are two different things. Mediation helps. To know that everything comes from God! Even the scientist and NASA would be nothing without God!
