This weekend, an exhibition will be opening that is bound to steer the waters of the artistic scene in Cyprus. The artist, the well known Achilleas Michaelides, mostly famous by his nickname “Paparazzi”, is used to intense reactions on his work, since his roots lay in street art – the not so unpopular and cast out art that has finally stepped out from the background into the spotlights of Art here on this island. On of the reasons this happened,is the same artist we are writing about: Paparazzi. He has done this by setting the standards of graffiti art much much higher with his coming, and by proving to the island’s viewers that streetart can very well be considered as Art.
With this new exhibition, he is expressing his artistic thoughts by binding
them once again into a completely new context.

The exhibition opening will take place on Saturday at Art Studio Michail Ebanoidze
The opening speech will be held by Dr. Nadia Anaxagorou.
The exhibition will be open until the March 1.
