An article about her

By Yiota Dimitriou

angelaShe was trying to dance through life’s storm. She was holding a saying for every difficult situation “you know they say that…”, “you know that author said…..”
You could rely on her for all your problems but you knew that for hers she was keeping the biggest part just for herself.

I remember one cold winter night at a coffee shop few years ago, while we were talking about life, her successful career, her grown up kids and her painful  divorce,  she said “well I still believe in love and I want to find my soulmate so badly but if it wont happen I will just retire some day and find a place away from here to live and travel”.
She was in love with her small island but she grow up in the UK and very often she was getting upset with the islander’s culture and attitude.
She traveled a lot in her life (USA, Europe, etc) and she had that unique mentality of a cosmopolitan person that you can talk with for every single matter.

She was a very good mother, an amazing friend and you knew that she could be the perfect woman for her man, her soulmate if she could ever find him.

She was beautiful both on the inside and on the outside.
She was carrying beauty and wisdom.
She was not perfect but you knew that if we had more people on earth like her the world could be a better place.

She called me one day to tell me her news.
Her news was often interested, meaning that they could teach you something.
We met in a beautiful artistic coffee place and she told me her news: One guy that she  knew since she was 17, one guy that she was in love with him when she was a teenager came back into her life.
This guy (who was now a middle age man) was living in the USA but he was in the island for holidays. They met, they talk and that old flame became a fire of love and so they became a couple.

She found her soulmate, he was someone that she was in love when she was a teenager.
Life (oh life with your funny ways!) brought him back to her life and she was feeling butterflies in her stomach, she was extremely happy and unbelievably in love!
He was all she ever asked for.

Their love and their story is like one of those stories we see in the movies but I’m not going to get into details because is their own story and I am not sure if they want to share it with the world (maybe she will write her story one day in a book?)

But I can tell you this: there is always a way for love (the special kind of love) to entrance in your world if you keep the door open, if you allow the beauty within and if you keep warming the hope and your dreams.

She as a friend taught me lots of things, now she taught me through her love story that there are some beautiful stories out there with happy end.
Just like in the movies! (Yeap!)

PS: Angelou mou you deserve the best cause you are one of the best in this world
and I cant wait for your marriage this summer
