Within the evolving global institutional outreach, Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), represented by its President Rev. Bechara Khoury, and the American University of Cyprus (AUCY), represented by its President Dr. Marc-Antoine Zabbal, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on November 30, 2022, at NDU. It is a result of discussions between two institutions through a joint committee established months ago.
NDU Vice Presidents, Assistant Vice Presidents, AUCY Board of Trustees, and representatives of both universities who worked on possible collaborative activities attended the MoU signing ceremony.
The MoU formalizes a framework of cooperation to take up activities of exchange programs in areas such as student exchange, faculty exchange, joint curriculum, shared research, and participation in lectures, conferences, symposia, and seminars. Working together in a collaborative spirit, both institutions will explore venues to promote quality education and professional development on mutually agreed terms.
“The MoU we signed today will serve as a good start and reinforce exchanges in academics, research, art, and culture between the two countries. This is NDU’s mission – to inspire life-changing learning opportunities and empower youth”, said Fr. Bechara Khoury, President of NDU.
“We are pleased to establish formal cooperation with Notre Dame University-Louaize, a university with a high reputation in higher education in Lebanon. This MoU will enrich and assist AUCY in its growth trajectory to become a leading university in the near future.” said Dr. Marc-Antoine Zabbal, President of AUCY
